She was born as Beverly Heather D’Angelo on November 15, 1951 and is an American actress and singer. The gorgeous D’Angelo was born in Columbus, Ohio. She is the daughter of Priscilla Ruth (Smith) a violinist and Eugene Constantino “Gene” D’Angelo, a bass player and TV station manager at WBNS-TV in Columbus. Her father had Italian roots. She also has three brothers named Jeff, Tim and Tony. Her maternal grandfather, Howard Dwight Smith was an architect and designed the Ohio Stadium known as The Horseshoe at the Ohio State University.

D’Angelo attended Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, Ohio, a close suburb due west of Columbus. In the year 2009, she won the Upper Arlington Alumni Association (UAAA) Distinguished Alumnus Award for career achievement. D’Angelo used to work as an illustrator at the Hanna-Barbara Studios and as a singer before showing interest in acting. While briefly staying in Canada, she used to be a backup singer for American born rockability singer Rompin’ Ronnie Hawkins’ band The Hawks. After starting their journey on their own, they became The Band, a band that is considered to be iconic.

She also starred as Ellen Griswold in the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies (1983-2015). She has featured in more than 60 films and was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role as Patsy Cline in Coal Miner’s Daughter (1980) and also received an Emmy Award nomination for playing the role of Stella Kowalski in TV film A Streetcar named Desire (1984). Her movie roles include Sheila Franklin in Hair (1979), and Doris Vinyard in American History X (1998).
