Born on June 27, 1986, in Monterey, California as Melissa Lauren Riso, she is an American model and actress. She was raised in a small town near her birthplace, called Salinas. She relocated to San Diego immediately after completing her high school and soon graduated from Beauty College.
Once when she was busy expanding her business as a professional hair stylist, she was cutting hair for a local news reporter, and that’s when she was suggested to try her hand at modelling. Over the years, she became quite famous with the Import Tuner scene and featured on twelve magazine covers.
Alongside attending local acting schools, she started picking up infomercials and loved doing the background additional work for TV shows like “Las Vegas” and “Greek.” She also started bagging lead roles in various music videos for Xzibit, T.I. and others including Tyga, Daft Punk, Pharrell and Krewella.
In late 2010, Melissa decided to move to Los Angeles to further her acting and modelling career. She started working for clothing lines and Skin Care brands. Melissa also landed roles in short movies like “Timid Pimps”, “Jungle Dead Two,” “TeleviSean,” “Spare Change” and several others. Melissa’s most prominent success came in 2014 when she was cast in a lead role in a National Pepsi Commercial. Her other major successes in 2014 were booking commercials for Fila and LA Fitness.
Melissa loves the benefits provided by Hollywood and has taken classes with Ivana Chubbuck, Lesley Khan, Stuart K. Robertson and Groundlings for Improv.
