Born as Danielle Louise Moinet in the year 1983 on November 28th, she is an American professional wrestler, model, actress, and former American football player. Her biggest claim to fame is for her WWE stint where she had the ring name Summer Rae. She played a main cast member on Total Divas’ second and third seasons. Before becoming a part of WWE, Moinet used to play with the Chicago Bliss of the Lingerie Football League. Moinet was a player for Chicago Bliss of the Lingerie Football League (LFL) from 2008 to 2011. She captained the team and used to play as a quarterback. She featured in the LFL All Star Game at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on June 30, 2011, and that was her last game in the LFL.
It was announced in November 2011 that Monet had signed up with WWE and she was assigned to their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Moinet debuted on TV during the Dcember 18, 2011 episode of FCW TV, where she appeared in an in-ring promo with Abraham Washington. She also worked as a ring announcer for FCW TV for many months. After getting the ring name of Summer Rae, she unsuccessfully tried meddling in a match between Seth Rollins and Brad Maddox on the March 5, 2012 episode of FCW TV.
After FCW was dissolved, Rae became a ring announcer for rebooted NXT in 2012. On January 30, 2013, she became an in-ring competitor and she made her official WWE debut on April 22, 2013 episode of RAW. On the May 13 episode of RAW, Rae along with Fandango, took on Chris Jericho and Edyta Sliwainska in a dance-offf, but, Fandango’s dance ended abruptly due to Rae’s ankle injury which she later revealed to be a fake. After many years, Rae was officially freed from her WWE contract on October 29, 2017. Seven months after leaving WWE, Moinet debuted on the independent circuit in a Battle Championship Wrestling event on May 25, 2018 at the Whitehorse Club Function and Convention Centre in Burwood East, Victoria, Australia. She fought with NXT alumni, Ivelisse (Sofia Cortez) and lost.
