Born as Nicola Glencross on April 21, 1989, she is a Scottish professional wrestler presently working as Nikki Cros in WWE. Glencross was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor of Arts in history. She also happens to be a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer.

In September 2008, Glencross started her training at the Scottish Wrestling Alliance where she debuted under the ring name Nikki Storm. In February 2010, she started working on the British Independent circuit. She became a key performer for promotions like Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) and Pro-Wrestling EVE where she became the Pro-Wrestling: Eve Championship three times.

Glencross was given a tryout with WWE in London during the autumn of 2015 and in April 2016, she was named among the ten signees who had started training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. She made her NXT debut on 22 April during a live event. In August, it was revealed during a Facebook live video that she was going to compete under a new ring name Nikki Cross.

Cross was revealed to be one of the six NXT superstars to move to the main roster of WWE. On January 14, 2019, Cross debuted as a part of the main roster and teamed up with Bayley and Natalya in a successful fight against The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan). During the match, it was announced that she had not yet been signed with the brand.
