Born ad Patricia Mae Andrzejewski on January 10, 1953, she is an American singer, songwriter, actress known as Pat Benatar. After her high school, she married her boyfriend and relocated to Virginia. However, domestic strife led to their divorce. Benatar returned to New York and worked on the club scene. She found guitarist and her future husband Neil Giraldo there. Benatar gained fame in the 1980s with her second album titled Crimes of Passion, which had hits such as “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”
However, Pat’s new life as a housewife and bank teller didn’t excite her. As soon as she got an opportunity to join a small cabaret band that played at busy Richmond clubs, Benatar grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
