One of the biggest blows that happened in the last year was the loss of Netflix’s Marvel Universe. And now with the advent of Disney+ there is a huge possibility that we might never see those characters ever again, which makes them more important for the fandom. Simone Missick’s Misty Knight is no different, a role she played so well that she got to expand it in three shows- Luke Cage, The Defenders and Iron Fist. Her role was brimmed with aggressiveness and versatility that Missick brought in spades through her physicality. She has a very strong build and all her features came out very well in her brilliant action sequences.
Missick feels a lot of gratitude for her role in All rise as she is playing a sort of Black Woman that is rarely portrayed. A messy, fragile Black woman who would be a far cry from the ‘always strong’ Black woman, showing very little emotion stereotype that we are used to.
