Alisha Boe is a Norwegian and American actress best known for playing Jessica Davis in the controversial Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why. She made her acting debut as Lisa Swan in the horror movie Amusement in 2008.
Alisha Ilhaan Bo was born in Oslo, Norway on March 6, 1997, to a Somalian father and a Norwegian mother. Her mother’s name is Vibeke. She and her mother moved to Los Angeles when she was seven years old because her mother married an American. She studied at George Ellery Hale Middle School and Ivy Academia. During her high school years, she attended El Camino Real High School. The school is commonly known as “ECR” or “Elco.” It is located in the San Fernando Valley region in Los Angeles, California. It is where she attended their drama program. The high school is prominently known for their alumni actors who also enrolled in their drama program. She quit high school to pursue her acting career and became the first Somali actress to have a leading role in an American movie since Iman. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall.
In 2008, she made her acting debut when she played child Lisa Swan in the horror movie Amusement. A year later she played Laci in He’s On My Mind and in 2012, she played the character Tara in Paranormal Activity 4. She played Tracy McCoy, Cameron Tucker’s student in Modern Family in 2014, and played Brynn Hendry in two episodes of the thriller TV series, Extant in July. She joined the cast of NBC’s soap opera drama series Days of Our Lives as Daphne which was a recurring role in November 2014. Her most prominent role was in 2017 when she played the role of Jessica in the controversial Netflix Original teen drama series 13 Reasons Why.
