Born as Christina Meursinge Haack on July 9, 1983 in Orange County, California, she is an American real estate investor and TV personality, presently known as Christina Anstead. She attended school in southern California and started working in the real estate industry after college. That is where she had met her future husband Tarek El Moussa. The former couple ran a real-estate firm called Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group in Orange County, CA, an area famous for the largest foreclosure rates in USA. The El Moussas and their business partner Pete De Best, purchased their first investment house in Santa Ana for $115,000. They sold the property for a profit of $34,000 and then the trio divided the money and have gone on flipping houses, expanding their real estate investment business into Arizona and Nevada. After being divorced, The El Moussa Group was dissolved, and now it runs under the name Tarek and Associates, and it is a venture with sole involvement of Tarek.
Tarek and Christina have since gone on to build their own construction and design company and regularly flip houses in southern California. In June 2019, Christina was announced to be receiving her own TV show known as Christina on the Coast. The opening episode of Season one will be focusing on Christina renovating her new, post divorce, home and the other 7 episodes will focus on her fixing up the homes of other people. Filming started in fall 2018 and the premier is scheduled for spring 2019.
Tarek and Christina lead Success Path Education, a real estate investment seminar series conducted at locations across North America for aspiring investors. During their workshops, the couple explains the whole process of house flipping to likely investors. They try helping new investors avoid common mistakes during flipping houses.
In May 2016, the couple parted ways after an incident in their Southern California home. As per the report by Yorba Linda police, Christina called the cops believing that Tarek was suicidal after he left home with a gun after a heated argument. The police found Tarek and he said that he was never suicideal and had only gone out hiking, carrying a gun along to protect himself from wild animals.
After the incident, Christina mentioned that “being separated was healthier for both of us.” Tarek and Christina filed for divorce in 2017, and their divorce was finalized in January 2018. The couple has two children together, daughter Taylor Reese El Moussa (born in 2010) and son Brayden James El Moussa (born in 2015) and they continue to co-parent their children.
In 2018, Christina was romantically involved with English television presenter Ant Anstead and they had been dating since November 2017. Christina married Ant Anstead on December 22, 2018 at their Newport Beach, California home and is officially changing her name to be Christina Anstead.
